Ingredients
  

Salad
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup mozzarella balls bocconcini, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
Dressing
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic reduction optional

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl or serving dish, combine tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and basil.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, dried oregano (or Italian seasoning), salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour dressing into the salad and toss to combine. Top with a drizzle of balsamic reduction (optional).

Notes

This salad is best served fresh. Feel free to adjust the seasoning to taste, and consider adding a sprinkle of fresh cracked pepper before serving.
