Ingredients
  

Green Beans
  • 340 g green beans ends trimmed
  • 15 ml olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic thinly sliced
  • 0.5 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp kosher salt
  • 15 ml water

Method
 

  1. Rinse the trimmed green beans in a colander. Shake to release most of the moisture, but don't dry completely.
  2. Heat a 12” skillet over medium heat. Add the oil and heat until it shimmers.
  3. Add the garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
  4. Add the green beans and toss to coat in the fat. Add 1 tbsp water to the pan, then cover and saute, stirring occasionally, until the green beans are charred and just about bite tender, about 6 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.

Notes

These green beans make a delightful side and can be paired with roasted meats or enjoyed on their own for a light meal.
